Do I need to reserve a table?

NO, but we highly recommend that guests make reservations. We allow & welcome walk ins and browsers. If you are a large group and want a good spot we recommend guests make a reservation. Cut the line and reserve your table by clicking here.  

Our reservation system allows party's up to 8 guests for open seating indoors or outdoor preferences. Reservations over 8 guests or private room requests are made through our events team. Contact our Team by clicking here.

Where do I park?

THE HOUSE is 125 years old nestled in the historic district downtown Lauderdale. Parking was never a plan 125 years ago, there were no cars! With that said.... we recommended ride share, walk along the river path to our front door, using local metered parking, train or by boat yep boat yours or water taxi.

Car

There are several metered parking lots on our street and many more a block or so away.  You are welcome to drop guests off prior to parking in the round about on the side of the restaurant.

Boat

We are on the New River west of the rail bridge and east of the Performing Arts Center. Free city dockage public is available on a first come basis in front of us as well as to the west on the river. Don't have a boat? try the water taxi is just steps away from our patio. 

Train

Yes we said train as we are Just a few of blocks from Fort Lauderdale's Bright Line Station. 

Can I bring a birthday cake?

We are excited that you are choosing to celebrate your special occasion with us. We do  allow outside cakes which will incur a $25 fee. However, if you contact us in advance we will be happy to try to meet your needs by offering a wide selection of pre-ordered cakes, cookies, and brownies all of which can be made into a platter. Of course we always have a candle around if you order one of our dessert selections.  

Does THE HOUSE have Public Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary public Wi-Fi is available for our guests.

Are pets allowed at THE HOUSE?

Yes, we love your furry friends and welcome well behaved dogs on our outside patio. We are committed to making reasonable modifications to permit the use of service animals indoors by our customers with disabilities.

Are there Vegan & Gluten-Free options?

Yes! We do our best to offer options to accommodate all food styles, sensitivities and preferences. Please check our menu to what we are serving up. 

Can I bring outside food & drinks to THE HOUSE?

No. Outside food or drinks are not allowed. Wine bottles not on our list are welcome with a corkage fee of $30 each. Exceptions are made for the dietary needs of infants, medical determinations.

Is there outdoor seating at THE HOUSE?

Yes! We have a large patio facing the New River, perfect for day or night dining!

Does THE HOUSE have a smoking area?

Yes. There is a designated smoking area outside the building.

Can I host an event at THE HOUSE?

Yes! Whether it be personal or professional, we’d love to host you and your guests. We welcome any and all requests for wedding receptions, business parties, holiday gathering & more.
